Master of Human Expressions – Visual Artist

Expressions in Motion Video

I specialize in capturing the essence of people through my lens. My strength lies in freezing those natural, candid moments that truly reflect the individual's personality, heart, and emotions. Unlike traditional videographers who focus on physical visuals, I aim to portray the invisible – the thoughts and feelings – through my artistic lens. This dedication to expressive filmmaking is why I proudly bear the title of Visual Artist.

Reading the Future of Expressions Three Seconds Ahead.

From an early age, I grew up reading my parents' expressions and continued this daily practice as a kindergarten teacher, focusing intently on the children's faces. Observing people's expressions has always been a part of my daily life. After getting married, I transitioned to a career as a wedding videographer, producing 100 videos annually over a decade. During my time in bridal videography, I developed a keen ability to predict the exact moment someone would smile.

Profile Story

I was born as the second son in a family in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, where humility is considered a virtue. Growing up, I was always attentive to the feelings of those around me. Inspired by my mother, I moved to Tokyo to pursue a career as a kindergarten teacher, fulfilling a long-held dream. Because children who struggle with words express themselves through their facial expressions, I spent every day paying close attention to their faces.

For me, observing people’s “expressions” has always been a part of my daily life.

After getting married, I switched careers and became a bridal videographer, handling over 100 video productions annually for 10 years. Through my unique filming style, which focuses on capturing emotions through facial expressions, I gained the absolute trust of wedding planners. Clients often said things like, “Every scene you capture carries a message and creates unforgettable memories” and “Even after 10 years, watching it still moves me.”

In 2018, I founded “Sukima graph.” Questioning the norm of taking one month to shoot and two months to edit, I applied my skills and sensitivity from wedding end rolls to pioneer a new approach of same-day filming, editing, and delivery for promotional videos.

Received with comments like:
“Warmer than any video we’ve seen before.”
“The message is conveyed through the visuals, not words.”
“A magical video that brings smiles to everyone who watches.”

This unique service has grown through word-of-mouth, and I now produce 100 videos a year. Expressing invisible elements like ‘heart’ and ‘thoughts’ through people-centered videos, I established Sukima ism LLC in 2020 to continue sending expressive films to the world as a visual artist beyond just a videographer.
